Help, please

Six months ago I was thrown out of my flat by my landlord, and the Vale of Glamorgan Council put me in Treharne Hostel. I was told I would not be in there longer than three or four weeks.

Six months later, I'm still waiting to be rehoused.

I moved to Barry from Glasgow nine years ago when my daughter was badly attacked and lost her baby. I fell in love with the place, but I feel like I haven't had any luck the last few months.

I'm ill. I have a tumour in my spine, arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, and after my mum died a month ago, I'm now depressed.

I don't want a big house. All I want is a place I can call my own. As lovely as the staff are in Treharne Hostel, it is not a nice place to live. The noise is incredible and I feel like a prisoner sometimes.

I've got nowhere else to turn. I've asked the housing officer every week if I can go somewhere else to live, and now I'm begging the Vale council to take a fresh look at my case.

I know because I haven't got young children, and I because I'm a single woman I am low on the priority list, but I'm going out of my mind.

Please, all I want is a proper home.
