WUMA National Championships

THE BARRY YMCA Tae Kwon Do Club travelled to Cheltenham with a very small squad of fighters due to the fact that nine of the club's fighters were travelling to Denmark two days later.

Tom Farmer was first on the mat and he did not disappoint as he took first place in the intermediate kata group with Nathan Lock taking second place.

Mark Palfrey took first place in the under-16 black belt kata section, with Nicky Limbrick second in the men's kata section.

In sparring, it was Tom Farmer who again took second place in his sparring group. Nathan Lock was unlucky to lose in the preliminary rounds.

Anyone wishing to train in Tae Kwon Do can call in at the YMCA on Tuesdays 5pm to 7pm; Thursdays 6pm to 9pm; Saturdays 5pm to 8pm; or call club instructor Colin Palfrey on 406971 or 077786497038.
