Gareth gets the vote at Welsh Legends Dinner

WHO IS the greatest Welsh rugby player of all time? Some say Barry John, some say Jonathon Davies. Others list Ieuan Evans, Phil Bennett or JPR Williams.

However, it was Gareth Edwards who picked up the prestigious £10,000 trophy from Parkhouse & Wyatt at the Welsh Legends Dinner held at Cardiff International Arena.

The gala event was attended by some 1,200 sporting enthusiasts, commentators, personalities, rugby players and Welsh businessmen.

"It is the most beautiful and most expensive trophy ever awarded to a Welsh sportsperson", said Andrew Edwards, General Manager of Parkhouse & Wyatt, who presented the magnificent trophy that was made and supplied by Wales' premier jewellers, based in the Capitol Shopping Centre, Queen Street, Cardiff.
