A hat trick of world wins

BARRY'S Joseph Schembri has confirmed his reputation as one of the country's most successful martial artists by winning the World Tae Kwon-Do championship for the third year running.

Joseph, aged 27, of Maes-y-Cwm Street, has trained with Barry and Cardiff Tae Kwon-Do organisations since he was seven years old.

The pinnacle of his achievements came in Miami when he won this year's Tae Kwon-Do International world championship to complete a remarkable hat-trick.

Barry Tae Kwon-Do meets at Barry Leisure Centre on Mondays and Thursdays, from 6pm onwards. Further information from tel 721899.
