DVD review ''Panic Room'

ON FIRST glance, the Panic Room plot may not look like it can hold up a whole film.

The ex-wife of a huge pharmaceutical businessman buys a massive house.

On viewing the property, she discovers a 'panic room' - a small space secured with steel and state-of-the-art CCTV in the heart of her new home .

As luck would have it, on the very first night she moves in three men break into the house, and she finds herself and her diabetic teenage daughter locked inside the very room she wanted sealed up.

What seems like a very weak storyline actually matures into a very good flick. Jodie Foster proves yet again why she commands respect in her career.
