Four-year-old Linda Mazey of Kingsland Crescent, is making a name for herself as a child dancer. In the recent examinations at Cardiff for tap dancing, Linda passed with the high aggregate of 90 marks and was highly commended.
Miss Pamela Jordan, 22-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs W Jordan, of Old Village Road, Barry, is appearing as a mannequin in the Welsh Industries Fair at Cardiff.
A tentative proposal from the Parks Supt, Mr H J Kruger, to establish an open air theatre at Romilly Park was warmly welcomed by members of the Parks Committee, on Tuesday evening.
Mrs Myer Cohen, addressed the Gladstone women's branch of the Barry Conservative Association on "Barry old and new." Mrs A Kemp presided.
Mr J A Davies, local representative of Lever Brothers Ltd, who is well-known to the grocery trade in Barry and district, has been awarded a prize in a national sales competition for Lifebuoy Toilet Soap.

The Secretary of State for Wales, Mr John Morris has given approval for the establishment of a bilingual comprehensive school in Cardiff, which will also serve Barry and district area.
The Vale Council agreed to the spending of nearly £1m on Barry's new swimming pool and civic offices at a meeting on Monday.
The Barry, Penarth and South Glamorgan Society recently held their November Dog Match when Best adult and best in match was won by Mrs Tinney's golden retriever.
An 11-year-old Sully Girl (Sarah Richards of Dunster Drive who is a pupil at Sully Primary School) has won a prize in the Save the Children's National Poetry Competition.
The Rhoose Amateur Boxing Club's current Welsh lightweight champion, Gary Seldon, after dropping a points decision in a Wales v Midland Counties match at Swansea bounced back with a points victory in Cardiff on Friday.
