Soccer fun days prove successful

MORE than 250 children attended the special soccer fun days organised by the Vale of Glamorgan Council sports development unit.

Held at leisure centres throughout the Vale, the fun days were run in conjunction with the Football Association of Wales and attracted boys and girls aged between six and 13 years.

Vale football development officer Ryland Morgans said: "I'm delighted with the attendance at the fun days and both the boys and girls really enjoyed the courses. It is a good sounding base for grass roots football."

The next football fun days are scheduled for the 2003 half-term from Tuesday to Friday, February 18-21.
