Parking

Having recently moved to Barry from the West Country I have set up business in High Street, a shopping area that is really buzzing. A completely new road surface was laid (how nice it looks), but alas, no road markings for parking restrictions.

Now I sit gazing out of my shop window, watching my customers driving around and around the block desperately looking for somewhere to park, to no avail.

All the parking spaces are taken, not by shoppers, but by selfish traders (especially estate agents) who obviously think it nice to be able to watch their car through their shop window all day long.

Whoever is in charge of road markings and traffic wardens, please come to High Street before all of Barry's shoppers leave this gem of a shopping area and shop at supermarkets, where it is easy to park.

W James, (Desperate shop owner), High Street, Barry
