Students demonstrate their skills

BARRY YMCA Tae Kwon Do Club held a demonstration night at the YMCA to thank Dow Corning for their generous sponsorship of their Tae Kwon Do Club.

Guests of honour were Mr Dave Mosely of Dow Corning and Barry Mayor, Cllr Dennis Tooze.

Well over 100 people turned up to watch the demo which lasted for just over one hour.

More than 30 students took part in the demo and everybody was very pleased at the end of the display.

Mr Moseley was introduced to the 12 students from the club who will be travelling to Denmark in November to represent Great Britain at the World Freestyle Championships.

Anybody wishing to train in Tae Kwon Do should call in at the YMCA on Tuesdays from 5pm to 7pm, Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm, Saturdays from 5pm to 8pm or call club instructor Mr C Palfrey on 406971 or 07786497038.
