SINCE the Welsh Assembly handed down dog control orders to the Vale Council suitable signage has been extensively provided in our streets and parks to inform dog owners that they must clean up and keep their animals on leads.

Speed limit signs adorned our highways for many years but, as we all know, many (if not most) motorists ignore the limits if they think that they can get away with it.

Fortunately we have police traffic patrols and speed cameras working on our behalf to bring offenders to book aided by the reporting in our local press of the punishment handed out by the courts to those convicted of unsocial behaviour.

When can we expect the policing and detection of the anti-social activities of dog owners? R W B Doubles Park Road, Barry
