THE DATE was September 15, 2002.
I had to undergo intensive training in order to do a parachute jump safely for the charity Tenovus. The training was 9am to 6pm, and we were to carry out the parachute jump, the next available day - weather permitting.
The parachute training and the actual jump took place in a town called Wanborough, Swindon. Total money raised was £462,00 - £297 would go to Tenovus.
It took approximately seven minutes for me to fall to the ground, and it was that exciting I did another jump, which I paid for myself, 25 minutes later, just to make sure I liked it.
The reasons for my letter was to show my appreciation to my husband Richard and to all my friends and family who sponsored me (even though they all think I'm crazy for throwing myself out of a perfectly good aeroplane).
But most of all I want to give a huge thank you to haulage company Cardiff Bay Transport because, without their sponsorship, I wouldn't have been able to raise the money I did for charity, and the parachute jump would not have taken place.
Once again, my sincere gratitude to Cardiff Bay Transport for their kind help and support.
