Broadband

I AM writing with regard to BT broadband services in the area. The nearest exchange to me, as many others, does not support broadband, and BT have set up a trigger on their site for people to register interest in broadband.

However, so far 149 out of 450 people needed to register have only done so.

My complaint is that considering NTL have services in the area, not as many people will register for BT Broadband. NTL services are not available on the Island, and because BT have set their trigger so high, people like myself and my husband miss out. In Rhoose the trigger is only 100, and 45 people have registered, so it doesn't seem fair that their trigger is lower.

I'm fed up with having slow speeds, and I know I'm not the only person in Barry who feels this way. Why should we miss out just because we live in Barry or Barry Island? BT claim it would cost too much money to update the exchanges. So, because they are unwilling to spend their money, people like us miss out.

Does this seem fair? If you feel the same, then it's time to speak out and get something done about this. Everyone is entitled to internet services, especially Broadband.
