THE BARRY Dragon Sports Netball Club is keen to attract new players for their Monday night (5-6pm) training sessions at the Colcot Sports Centre.
The club, who successfully expanded their junior section last year to include Year 5 and 6 primary school pupils, are looking for new players now that last year's group have moved up to the 11-14 age group run by coach Lynwen Lye.
Lesley Matthews, who coached the under-11s section, said: "Last year we had a massive turn out every Monday night so the club have made sure that we have enough coaches and volunteers to ensure everybody gets enough attention and coaching. We just need the players now."
The club concentrates on fun coaching for all abilities within the Year 5 and 6 primary schools age group although this year, with the development of junior netball within the Vale, the club are hoping for some fixtures against other teams.
Anyone wishing to join Barry Netball Club can either turn up for training on a Monday night or contact Rachel McGuinness, Dragon Sports Co-ordinator at the Vale Sports Development Unit on 01446 704681.
