Dog plight

I AM writing to ask the man who launched a small canoe off the pebble beach on September 29 if he realised that onlookers were horrified as his dog swam bravely to follow, and he seemed to ignore the dog's plight.

True, he had the spaniel on board, but the other dog was swimming far out and in distress.

I would like him to know that, had he not located the exhausted animal at Cold Knap point, the rescue services would have been called.
