Athletic take championship title

BARRY Athletic have won the Welsh Private Greens PG2 Division 1 championship.

This year the championship consisted of three divisions with promotion and relegation in each.

Captain Don Evans said: "It is a tribute to the players at Barry Athletic that we have won the title against such strong opposition. Our aim now is to retain the title in 2003."
