SINCE returning from a recent visit to occupied Palestine I can honestly say I know how those who join extremist groups must feel. If people are not listened to and the world ignores their plight, what are they to do? I am normally a very passive person who rarely speaks out in anger but at the moment I am livid. I am livid at the what I see as the hypocrisy of the government.

It seems hell bent on supporting the USA in calling on war and regime change in Iraq because of its alleged weapons of mass destruction and because of its failure to abide by UN resolutions.

Yet, I feel they do nothing to expose and destroy an Israeli regime which is the fourth largest military power in the world, with a huge arsenal of weapons, a regime with a horrific record of human rights abuses and which has failed to abide by repeated UN resolutions for decades!

What is wrong with Mr Blair? Just how many angry, frustrated militant protesters and potential terrorists does he wish to create in the world? Does he really believe that war with Iraq will solve anything in the Middle East or doesn't he have a clue about what he's doing in international politics at all?

How much difference I can make alone I don't know but I intend to join a demonstration in London on September 28 to show my opposition to the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine and in opposition to the war against Iraq. If everyone reading this could join that demonstration too, together we would make a difference, that's for sure. Please contact me now to find out more about this demonstration and what else we can do.
