No chance

WHAT a stroke of pure brilliance not just to pull down the old Butlins Holiday camp and build another car park, but to build a University Campus on the site.

The council could have just let it rot like our town hall, our Central Park, our King Square, our Cold Knap pool, or they could have applied for lottery funding, although having already been refused for several other fictitious plans then maybe not.

Let me, through your paper, tell the council spin doctors that we, the people of Barry, have had enough of these pie in the sky schemes put forward by our elected bodies.

There is more chance of Willy Wonka building a chocolate factory on the site than the council building a campus.

Just watch this space, houses, flats and apartments are their aim.

A degree in hoodwinking would be a fine choice for anyone thinking of becoming a councillor.
