AS Chris Franks (letters, August 8), spends most of his time writing about Labour Party business, instead of his own party's (or lack of it), perhaps his next contribution would be to congratulate the extremely hard work of John Smith and Jane Hutt in securing 2,000 defence jobs at St Athan?

If Mr Franks is so infatuated with the Labour Party, I'm sure if he would like to contact me,

I will send an application form.
