A tribute

I WOULD like to tell you of the saddest, but also the most moving moment of my life.

On Wednesday last August 14, my wife Gillian was put to rest aged 58.

The residents of Elizabeth Avenue, including young children, swept the street and did not leave a piece of paper to be seen anywhere.

Also lining the avenue was baskets and bowls of flowers. Young children waved to my wife as the hearse went by.

The minister and other people made the remark that Princess Di's was no different, only bigger. To me and my family it was Princess Gillian's funeral.

After all the bad publicity the avenue often receives I would like to offer my heartfelt gratitude to them all, and hope you print this tribute to them.
