Garw clue?

HAVING watched a delightful film (on television) called) The Man Who Climbed a Hill and Came Down a Mountain, I can find no trace of the locality called "Ffynon Garw."

The event depicted in the film took place during 1917, and all I can gather "Ffynon Garw" was (or is) situated between Cardiff and Pontypridd.

Maybe Ffynon Garw has been incorporated into some larger area. Can someone (through the medium of your newspaper) tell me where "Ffynon Garw" is or was?
