'Naff' move

With reference to the recent correspondence regarding the Memorial Hall name change. Yes, we all called the Memorial Hall 'the Memo' way back in the sixties, when I lived in Barry as a schoolboy.

So nothing's new. But the use of this diminutive on printed flyers and marketing material is simply naff, cheesey.

Rather like a respected middle-aged relation trying to be cool, but who ends up just being patronising.
