BARRY Carnival splashed out on Sunday with a fun-filled raft race at the Knap Boating Lake.
The event was a huge success and attracted lots of people old and young.
Today, youngsters will be going down to Romilly Park for a teddy bears' picnic and best dressed teddy competition. The fun starts at 2pm.
Late,r at 6pm, again at Romilly Park, there will be an exemption dog show, with entries taken from 5.45pm.
At 7pm, Romilly Park will see at tug of war competition, followed by a judging of bars, pubs and clubs at 8pm.
Tomorrow, from 2pm there will be side shows and a classic car display at Romilly Park. The Barry Carnival Football Festival will take place at 3pm and at 5pm football trophies will be presented by the carnival queen and attendants.
The battle of the bands will take part at 'Talk of the Town' (Savoy) in Broad Street, starting at 8pm. Local bands include Sugarline and Tabu.
Finally on Saturday, the grand procession will leave the dock entrance near Weston Square at 3pm. The queen and her attendants will ride behind the lead band in the procession.
All prizes will be awarded at a special presentation night at the Masonic Hall on Friday, September 6 at 7pm.
