YOUR issue of July 11 contained a summary of the Vale of Glamorgan's achievements during the last 12 months.

Whereas they naturally were pleased at their performance, nevertheless they were open enough to admit where their efforts were less than perfect.

I wonder if the council could go a bit further and become more open in their actions so that the voters could be aware of what was being done in their name.

The voters need to see for themselves exactly what is being done with their money.

Would it be possible to publish exactly which schemes in the Vale have received Lottery funding, and how well they have spent that money - and are the schemes up and running?
