Fine show

ONCE again, Spotlight Drama Barry have produced a spectacular and thoroughly absorbing show.

The latest, "Broadway Brought Home", was a success for all participants and a wonderfully entertaining evening for those who were the audience.

Twice a year these people put on shows and all year they rehearse, discuss and act continually to help make the productions a success of the highest quality. They may be amateurs but their commitment is far from that.

Obviously the children are a delight, their expressions revealing a genuine love for entertainment. We seem to forget that we have young people in the communities that are not drug orientated or 'old lady-muggers'. We have, if we look far enough, a generation of genuine grown up people.

Unfortunately the less motivated youths give a bad name to those who do indulge in criminal activities. But where lies the blame? Is it the people; is it the wrongdoers or wrongdoing, or is it the Government who seem to wipe their hands of responsibility?
