REGARDING your story in last weeks Barry & District News (page 3 - Memorial Hall). How thoughtless and inconsiderate can some people be?

The Memorial Hall was erected to honour the servicemen who lost their lives. I am 82, a veteran of the D Day landing. I was lucky to be the only one left alive in my section. Being a member of the British Legion I pay tribute to their memory each year.

I am sure that many more old soldiers like myself hold the same view.
