Glories Lost

As former resident of Barry may I say how much I agree with Joan Lake (referring to Memorial Hall's new name 'Memo', Barry & District News, July 11).

As a child I spent many happy times at the Memorial Hall attending and performing in concerts and have many happy memories of the Memorial Hall.

When I return now to Barry I am always coming away disappointed in the way things have changed including Barry Island, and the Knap pool, again where I have a lot of very happy memories.

Perhaps instead of name changes it is time to sort Barry out and give the people back the said areas in their former glory.
