What a fuss

REGARDING the ongoing saga over the signage surrounding the renaming of Barry's memorial hall.

We've always called it the memo, so what's so wrong with putting this colloquial term on the sign?

I don't think it's disrespectful to the war heroes at all. It simply represents the people of Barry and their reference to it. The building will always be symbolic to those who want it to be.

Manager Kate Long's doing a fine job, and if that means making everything a bit more modern, then so be it. As long as the full name is on there, I can't see what all the fuss is about.
