Barry rugby starlets soar

A GIRLS' under-13 rugby side has been set up at Barry Rugby Club.

Vale of Glamorgan rugby development officer Julian McTavish and coach Miff Connelly have been instrumental in launching the initiative and, in conjunction with the Dragon Rugby Trust and the Vale council, Julian provided the team with bibs, bags, balls and cones.

Praising the girls on their progress, Julian said: "I am very proud of the girls and their achievements this season and look forward to seeing them make even more progress next season."
