Hot pants will lift the temperature

BILLBOARD Ensemble, will be raising hemlines and the temperature of the audience when they stage Sweet Charity at the end of the month. Out go the fancy crinolines and in come the hot pants and mini-skirts of the sixties.

Set in the hospitality lounge of a New York dance hall, where gentlemen go to meet ladies of the night for a good time. The story follows one girl, Charity Hope Valentine, as she strives to meet the man of her dreams.

Packed with memorable songs like Big Spender, Rhythm of Life and If My Friends Could See Me Now and fronted by a professional orchestra led by David Laugharne, Sweet Charity promises a fabulous evening's entertainment. This unique show is being staged at the Barry memorial hall theatre from Thursday to Saturday, July 25 to 27. Doors open at 7pm.
