I CANNOT understand how the people of Barry, (who seem very financially aware) missed out on the chance of a free day out at the St Fagans Museum.

As advertisied in the News, there was an ECO fun day at St Fagans on Saturday and Sunday. A free bus left King Square every hour from 10am till 3pm.

The driver of the bus who brought us back at 3.30pm said he had only carried five adults and five children all day.

My wife and I took our two grandchildren Emily (five) and Charlotte (two), and they and us had a great time and we never even went into the permanent exhibits.

So come on Barry wake up what else are you missing out on?

You soon shout about increases in rates etc, and when events are put on that come of your taxes you give them a miss.
