Tourist plan

COULD someone please explain why the Vale of Glamorgan Council is standing back and letting the Knap Pool go to rack & ruin.

Surely, if this site was restored to its original use, i.e. a proper, well-maintained swimming pool, it would be an additional tourist attraction in the Vale.

I realise that money is tight but what about going into partnership with a private developer under the Government's PDF initiative.

Surely a good pool in this location would be used by the people of Barry and by visitors. Please do not turn this into another building site for over-priced houses that poor people cannot afford.

I think that its disgusting how they can take a part of Barry's heritage, and nobody seems to care.
