Past glory

I AM writing in response to your article about the Knap pool. It is such a shame that the children and grown-ups cannot now enjoy the pleasure of what was a wonderful asset, not only for the locals, but for the many visitors from far away who enjoyed it.

I was an employee for many years of Bindle Ice Cream Co, the factory, at the side of the (now gone) beautiful ballroom, and I supplied the ice cream every day during the summer.

Also the boating lake was very popular. Come on, Vale councillors, pull the plug out and do something about restoring the area to the good old days.
