Good days

MY friend has just given me a copy of your newspaper.

I have been in Australia for nearly 11 years and, apart from cuttings sent to me for for various reasons, this is the first complete copy I have read.

I am really enjoying your edition dated Thursday, January 10, 2002.

I am especially interested in the letter called 'Happy Days'.

I too worked at J Collis & Sons in the office for over ten years. They were the happiest years of my working life and I am still in contact with a couple of office colleagues.

I was employed at Collis's until they closed down; that certainly was a sad time for all of us, as it was an excellent company to work for.

I have many happy memories and I was so pleased that I happened to read that letter, sent in by an ex-employee like myself. Was it fate or just coincidence, I wonder?

If any readers who remember me, perhaps they could contact you and you could pass their letters on to me.

Thanks, and once again, I really enjoyed reading your newspaper.
