Double netball success for St Helen's School

THERE was a double success for St Helen's Juniors in the Barry Netball League finals.

Both A and B teams won through to the semi-finals at Barry Leisure Centre on February 14.

There they both met Gladstone and qualified for the finals against Jenner Park A and B.

These matches could not have been closer with both ending in draws, with no further scoring in extra time. So there was a penalty shoot out in both finals.

Naomi Briggs scored the winning goal for the A team, and Lauren Rothery scored the winning goal for the B side.

These were well played finals by all the participating teams, and St Helen's were thrilled to complete the double.
