A LOCAL band is setting their sights high after an impromptu Easter performance on Barry Island promenade.
And Baby Lose are so pleased with the reaction, they are now busy firing off tapes to prestigious recording company, EMI.
The four members, Russell Toomey, Adam Cook, Phil Miles and Rhys Howell, all from the town, got together while at Barry Boys' Comprehensive.
Russell, 19, from The Knap told the News: "We practice twice a week in the Amelia Trust Farm. We write our own material, in post-rock style."
The joint lead singer, and song writer with Adam, 19, from the Colcot added: "We've already supported well-known bands on the circuit, including McLusky and Diffy Clyro. And we often land support gigs in a popular Cardiff venue, Clwb Ifor Bach."
* For a sneak preview of Baby Lose, you can catch them on the Promenade, Barry Island, once a month. For more information on them, visit their website at www.babylose.co.uk
