Opera gala plans

PLANS are well under way for a gala dinner and opera night in April being arranged by Barry Lions Club.

The evening will consist of a four course dinner and entertainment afterwards consisting of popular and well known operatic choruses and arias.

Artists taking part are the world famous Pendyrus Male Choir and two soloists from the Welsh National Opera Company, Pau-la Bradbury (soprano), and Simon Curtis (tenor).

The third soloist for the special evening is Anthony Stuart Lloyd (bass baritone).

The evening will be hosted by celebrated mezzo soprano Bev-erley Humphreys.

The event is set to take place at the Barry Memorial Hall on Saturday, April 13.
