Excellent winter grading at YMCA

THE BARRY YMCA Tae Kwon Do Club held its winter grading at the YMCA on February 9.

The grading examiner was Mr Chris Sparks, 6th Degree Black Belt and UTAW President (United Tae Kwon Do Association of Wales).

Mr Sparks was very pleased with the standard at the club and he awarded four A passes and no low passes.

The following promotions were granted by Mr Sparks: 9th kup awards Nathan Lock, Daniel Lawlor, Charlotte Jones, Frankie McGill; 8th kup awards Aaron King, Lucy Williams, Kial Edwards; 7th kup awards Georgia Dix, Geraint Williams, Jessica Dix, Daniel Sadler, Michael Lewis, Darryl Jones.

6th kup awards Ian Lawton, Gareth Gardner, Abigail Palfrey, Katie Williams, Matthew Williams, Ashley Coles; 5th kup awards Callum Ashman, Amanda Berry; 4th kup awards Steven Haggard, Daniel Ryan, Jade Dancey, Arthur Bezerra, Danielle Jeans; 3rd kup awards Leon Jones; 2nd kup awards Ben Jeans; 1st kup awards Kathryn Haggard, Jamie Morgan.

The presentations of belts and certificates was held the following Tuesday with the guest of honour, Barry Mayor Margaret Wilkinson.
