THANK goodness for some common sense from Judith Braeman (letters February 14).

Dog mess is not the life threatening substance the Dog Poo Whingers make it out to be.

Unpleasant it is, but not as revolting as seeing somebody's little darlings smashing glass bottles in the park, for toddlers and animals to walk on, seeing children demolishing, stone by stone, the bandstand in Victoria Park or watching teenagers sawing all the park benches into pieces, ripping up newly bedded plants, driving cars and motorised bikes over the grass, burning cars, daubing buildings with graffiti, ripping down dog bins and emptying the contents over the park.

So, to those locals, the next time you complain, please back up your grievance with real evidence regarding the exact number of people in Barry who have actually died or gone blind from stepping in dog mess.
