Teenager is found dead

MISSING Barry teenager Owain Walters has been found hanged.

Police have confirmed that a body found in wooded area near the Windham Conservative Club, Harbour Road, on Sunday was that of Owain.

The 17-year-old had not been seen by his parents John and Julie since Wednesday, January 9. His parents had made an emotional appeal thorough the News for the Barry College student to return to his Romilly Park Road home. They also put up 250 posters in the town.

PC Simon Rees of Barry police station told the News: "A call came into the station at 12.08pm from a male member of public walking in the area.

"The family has been informed and the matter is now with the coroner."
