BURGESS Audrey Elizabeth (nee Edwards) 30.08.1925 - 21.06.2015 Peacefully, at College Fields Nursing Home after a period of ill-health borne with calm fortitude, devoted wife of Haydn, loving step-mother of Alan and Susan and a well-loved sister to Deirdre, Graham and Eirian, a proud grandmother and Aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Audrey was a respected Elder of the Presbyterian Church of Wales, a former Secretary of the Barry Council of Churches, Treasurer of the Inner Wheel Club of Barry and for many years a Senior Mathematics Teacher in Llanelli, Barry Girls' County and Bryn Hafren Schools, She was a skilled seamstress and landscape painter. Her love of choral music ensured she derived great pleasure from being a Founder Chorister with the Barry Choral Society. Audrey will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Grateful thanks to the Doctors of Waterfront Medical Centre, the Staff and Carers of Orchard House, Barry, the Doctors and Nurses of various Wards in UWH Health & Llandough, the Vale of Glamorgan Council Carers and latterly the Nurses and Staff of College Fields Nursing Home.
