REES SYLVIA JEAN 14.9.1929 - 17.7.2014. Peacefully in her sleep after enduring many battles against ill health, Sylvia sadly passed away at Ty Gwyn Nursing Home, Penarth aged 84, on July 17th 2014. Sylvia was the much loved wife of the late Eddie and then long term partner of the late Bob Sheppard, dearly loved mother of Pamela and Philip and step-mum of Diane, Michael, Gillian, Graham, Linda, Rachel and the late David, mother-in-law of Roger and Ann. Sylvia was the devoted nan of Evelyn, Lewis, Matthew, Gareth, Catherine and the late James, great nan of Nicola, Jâc, Alex, Megan and Tomos, loving sister of Joyce, Valerie, Veronica and the late Emily, Colin and Sheila. Sylvia will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Resting at A G Adams & Son, Tynewydd Funeral Home, Gladstone Road, Barry until her funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday July 30th at 11.00am followed by cremation at the Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, Barry at 12 noon. Family flowers only but donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimers Society. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at Ty Gwyn Nursing Home, Penarth for the way that they looked after Sylvia during some very difficult times.
