POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an altercation between two men in the Vere Street area of Barry.

The incident took place at approximately 8.30pm on Wednesday, May 28.

A 25-year-old man from Barry is presently on bail having been arrested for his suspected involvement in this incident.

Officers from Barry Police Station are appealing for the female driver of a black car to come forward that had to stop when one of the males involved was blocking her path as she drove in to Holmes Street.

PC Steve Gunney said: “We would also like anyone that may have been in the fish bar on the junction of Hunter Street, or the Chinese takeaway on the junction of Holmes Street, around the time of the incident to come forward”.
