CARDIFF & Vale LA U11 and U13 Hubs took the Welsh Netball Inter-Hub Championships in Ebbw Vale by storm.

Four U11 squads were entered and two U13 squads.

The start of the competition saw the four U11 squads compete over two pools and with the squads all working hard and playing some excellent netball saw the pool stage finish with Cardiff & Vale first and second in each. The C&V 1 squad went on the win the semi-final along with the C & V 3 squad for an all Cardiff & Vale final. C & V 1 squad played superbly but the C & V 3 were not going to let them win easily and pushed them to the final whistle but C & V 1 were not going to let go of the lead and pushed on to victory. The chorus of cheers from the parents supporting and all the players was joyous and a superb result for the Cardiff & Vale region. Also present were Welsh Netball Talent Spotters who selected the top 20 players of the tournament and to the coaches delight 11 players were named in the top 20 and amazing achievement. They were:

After watching and cheering the U11 squad on the U13 campaign started and with an extremely high standard of netball being played by all the Hubs entered they knew this would be a tough challenge. After a nervous start in the pool stages with most of the girls playing in a national competition for the first time they settled to play some excellent netball and the both squads finished second place in their pools to secure a semi-final place. The C & V 1 squad came out and dominated their semi-final with a superb win the C & V 2 squad had a much harder encounter and lost out to a very strong Blaenau Gwent side. The C & V 2 showed their strength of character by going on to win their placing match to finish third overall. The final was a huge game and C & V 1 were to play Blaenau Gwent 1 who had a huge home support but the supporters who travelled from Cardiff & Vale did not let their girls down with whoops and cheers all the way through this tight encounter. The match went goal for goal and the atmosphere was electric with gasps and applause from an appreciating crowd. Cardiff and Vale managed to forge ahead and when the final whistle blew there were tears and screams of joy all around the court. The Cardiff & Vale 1 winners are:
