BRITISH Transport Police have confirmed that a man has been found on the tracks at a Dinas Powys train station and treated for injuries.
It is unclear how the man ended up on the tracks but it is not believed that he was struck by a train.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “BTP officers were called to the line at Eastbrook railway station, Dinas Powys, on Friday, May 9 following a report of a man on the tracks.
“Colleagues from South Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust also attended the incident, which was reported to police at 1.28pm.
“All trains in the area were stopped while officers dealt with the incident.
“A man was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries before being transferred to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident, including how the man came to be on the tracks. However, it is not believed he was struck by a train.”
